The most luxurious bed in the range, handmade and hand finished this bed is a truly bespoke product offering the very best in quality British craftsmanship and the ultimate in comfort and luxury.
The mattress has two layers of pocket springs containing 2176 (in a double) individual springs in individual pockets so that they act independently. The spring pockets are nested and top tied by hand to prevent unwanted lateral movement.
The springs are covered with an insulating pad and upholstered with a blend of 1200g white curled hair, carded with pure new wool, silk and white cashmere and enclosed in a waxed cambric cover. This is overlaid with 2050g cotton felt and upholstered in the highest quality Belgian jacquard damask ticking and then hand tufted with woollen rosettes. The border has three rows of hand side stitching, flag stitched horizontal handles (8 on a double) are added along with 16 (on a double) nickel finished solid brass air vents allowing body moisture to be dispersed rapidly and hygienically.
The Mattress is available in a softer or medium tension to match your preference.
The base is a sprung edge divan with an extra layer of 288 springs (in a Double) that provide a softening effect to the mattress
The divan base is insulated with bonded fibre and upholstered in a choice of six colours or to match the mattress cover Click here for details. The base is easy to move on luxury metal castors and is 39cm (15 in) high including the castors.
The Base is in two halves lengthways to match the lying position of the user and avoid the transfer of weight movement during the night. This also aids ease of access into your home. The divans are joined by nickel finish solid brass link bars.
