This lavish model contains 1260 hand nested pocketed springs in the standard double divan set. The mattress spring unit is encased within deep luxurious layers of cotton felt, black hair, wool, silk and cashmere. The mattress is finished with hand tufted woollen rosettes and two rows of hand side stitching.
The mattress has 1260 (in a double) individual springs in individual pockets so that they act independently. The spring pockets are nested and centre tied by hand to prevent unwanted lateral movement.
The springs are covered with an insulating pad and enclosed in a waxed cambric cover. This is upholstered with 1200g curled hair blended with pure new wool, silk and cashmere overlaid with 2050g cotton felt and upholstered in the highest quality Belgian jacquard damask ticking and then hand tufted with woollen rosettes. The border has two rows of hand side stitching, flag stitched horizontal handles (8 on a double) are added along with 16 (on a double) nickel finished solid brass air vents allowing body moisture to be dispersed rapidly and hygienically.
The Mattress is available in a softer, medium and firmer tension to match your preference.
The divan base is a sprung base with an extra layer of 288 springs (in a Double) which provides a softening effect to the mattress
